Personal Background
Emily Blincoe is a 43 year old photographer that loves to travel. She was born in Austin, Texas on september 2, 1980. She now lives in Nashville, Tennessee with her 7 year old dog, Eleanor. She started photography as a hobby when she was 22 that was quickly put on the shelf, according to her. Then a couple years later she got back into it and made a career out of it. She hated school and would do anything to get out of it, she says "but i will just say that we all learn differently, and a classroom environment was never for me, i need to get my hands on stuff, i need to see it, feel it, and that is the only way i will learn."

Style
Blincoe photographs a lot of arrangements and portraits. I noticed that most of her arrangements are color cornatied or organized in a certain way(size,shape,etc.). Her pictures vary with location, what they are, what they contain. She has a lot of arrangements of food and nature but also some with toothbrushes and bandaids. Her portraits are mostly shot in nature, buildings or with a pattern. Her portraits vary from color to black and white.

Philosophy
Her work is mostly personal, she makes the photos that she is happy with. She feels most satisfied when creating for herself. Photography is something that she loves and is grateful for the fact that she gets to get up and do what she loves when others might not be so fortunate. Emily thinks that we are all looking for new inspiration daily so ideally, it should be ever-changing and evolving. Some things that remain constant for her is color, faces, little moments, light and finding beauty in the ordinary. Photography is her way of expressing herself.

Influences
I have thought about my future many times and everytime i'm doing something slightly different. Marine biologist, forensic scientist, travel and explore the world, doctor, Interior design, military, being a marine biologist and traveling the world, and so many others. There are just some many different things that interest me. I relate to Blincoe because the classroom environment is not my favorite, I need to be hands on and make mistakes to learn. I think I have wanted to be a marine biologist since I was 12 and I know it's not the biggest money maker but it's what makes me happy.
